About Quantrell Auto Group
The Quantrell Auto Group has been a family owned business since 1967. The dealership
principle Art Quantrell was able to pass the franchise of Cadillac, Volvo, Audi,
and Porsche to his daughter, Bonnie Quantrell Jones, in 1989 opting to retire and
spend more time in with the family. At the time, Bonnie was one of few women principle
car dealers and the first women to serve on Volvo Dealer Council and Cadillac Dealer
Council.
With the onset of Saturn in 1991, she decided to sell the sluggish Audi and Porsche
dealerships and picked up what is now Saturn of Lexington. Over the next several
years Quantrell has had several other franchises however today they currently have
four franchises (Cadillac, SAAB, Saturn, and Volvo) under the Quantrell Auto Group
umbrella.
The focus of Quantrell has always been on the local community. Our motto since inception
is "we give back to the community on a daily basis that supports our business
on a daily basis". This passion of community and faith became even more evident
6 years later. Bonnie Quantrell Jones was busy running an automobile dealership
when the call began to nudge her. In 1997, it became clear to her that she was being
called to the priesthood. "It felt like an idea out of the blue, and became
my heart's desire…sometimes with a 2 x 4 thrown in the middle, if I was not
paying attention."
Today a Reverend, Bonnie brings a unique background in working with and for the
homeless, people in recovery and peace and justice issues, and serving on the boards
of numerous Lexington- Fayette County agencies through the years, as well as her
bi-vocational work as CEO of Quantrell Auto Group, and as a priest of St Martha's
Church. "It was like a light bulb went off," says Jones. "It is the
perfect fit for my talents and where my heart is. God was saying 'yes, you can
do both.'"
Quantrell Auto Group is currently the only Cadillac, Volvo, and Saab dealer
in Lexington, KY. All four franchises are in the top three in sales in there area
of responsibility. Their service departments have an impeccable reputation in town
as "doing the right thing for the customer". This can be attributed to
the loyal employees, some of who have been there for over 30 years, strong customer
base, and support and involvement in the local community.
